Company Type

We can offer two company types for Mauritius company formation these are; Global Business Companies (GBC) and  Authorised Companies (AC).

If the company does not require access to the Mauritius’ network of 37 tax treaties we recommend the incorporation of Authorised Companies. The incorporation process for an AC company is less expensive and complicated than a GBC.

Company Name

In order to incorporate a Mauritius AC it must have a unique name followed by Limited, Incorporated, Sociedad Anonima,  Corporation, Societe Anonyme or an appropriate abbreviation.

Registered Agent

Authorised Companies (AC) and Global Business Companies (GBC) are required to have a Registered Agent in Mauritius licensed by the  Financial Services Commission (FSC) in order for a successful Mauritius company formation .

Shareholders

Only one shareholder of any nationality is required to incorporate a Mauritius AC. Shareholders can be corporate entities.

Directors

Only one director of any nationality is required to incorporate a Mauritius AC.

Share Capital

There is no minimum share capital requirements for a Mauritius AC.

Proof of Identity

As part of our due diligence, we require proof of identity in the form of a passport copy for all directors and shareholders of the company. Directors and shareholders details are provided to the registry put do not available to any member of the public or third parties.

Filing Requirements

A Mauritius AC is required to prepare and file yearly financial summaries with the Financial Services Commission. These documents are not available to the public.

Timescale

Once all necessary information has been received, along with due diligence, a Mauritius AC company formation process takes 5-7 days to complete.

A Mauritius GBC takes 4-5 weeks to be incorporated.
